Hot Topic Lunch Series

Benefolk’s Hot Topic Lunch series returned in March 2025 with a sold-out national program focused on Impact Reporting Effectiveness - exploring how social purpose organisations can better measure, communicate, and amplify their impact.

Across Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, the events brought together not-for-profit leaders, funders, and social enterprises eager to unpack the latest trends in real-time data, simplified impact frameworks, and smarter reporting.

Featuring Benefolk Network experts including Sandy Blackburn (Social Outcomes Group), Kristi Mansfield (Seer Data & Analytics), Elena Mogilevski (Mogilevski Consulting), and Shelley Boswell (Seer Data & Analytics), each session delivered practical insights on how to make data meaningful and how to use it to drive both internal buy-in and external storytelling.

In Sydney, speakers sparked lively discussion around real-time dashboards and shared data systems for funders and NFPs. Brisbane’s event brought a diverse mix of charities, social enterprises, and government representatives, creating rich, cross-sector conversations. The series concluded in Melbourne, where more than 100 attendees filled the State Library Victoria for an energetic Q&A exploring challenges and opportunities in modern impact measurement.

Benefolk extends its thanks to GO Salary and Next Dimension Accounting for sponsoring this national event series, and to all speakers and participants helping shape the future of impact reporting in Australia.
