Results and ROI
Below are some further examples of capacity building investment and results.
While these examples speak directly to the financial return, we know there are numerous indirect and non financial benefits for these organisations as well, including the wellbeing uplift for their leaders in having access to fit-for-purpose professional services and advisory.
- NT-based micro enterprise incubator invested $12,000 in fundraising coaching support over six months, and raised $800,000 in six months. They have since leveraged these skills to bring in $8 million.
- Vic-based rural energy collective credit the $18,000 spend on business planning, financial modelling and business case as essential to them realising $280,000 in grants, which they are currently leveraging towards $250,000 in a catalytic finance loan and possibly up to $500,000.
- National social enterprise intermediary invested $40,000 in rebranding and marketing services that helped crystallise their brand, messaging and investment pitch, enabling them to secure $10 million from two philanthropic trusts. This investment also helped them galvanise interest among community leaders to scale their programs nationally.
The connection between the business planning and financial modelling can only be summed up as foundational and vital to communicating and realising our regenerative growth goals.
