Income Summit launched to support non-profits to optimise their existing revenue streams
With the economy putting more pressure than ever before on not-for-profit organisations and charities, a new income-focussed online event series has been announced by Benefolk to help organisations optimise their existing revenue-generation efforts.
The Benefolk Income Summit - running from 19 May to 6 June 2025 - will feature 15 of the most experienced non-profit consultants sharing best practice strategies, and showcasing real-life case studies of organisations who are achieving significant success.
Benefolk CEO and Founder Julia Keady says the Income Summit will help organisations explore the adjustments they could make and new strategies they could employ to further increase their income in FY26.
“This series is very holistic in nature – from cost reduction strategies to increasing membership program income, monetising online learning to safe-guarding government income. It’s all about ways to strengthen your existing efforts to supercharge income, financial sustainability and resilience,” she says.
“Last year, our Income Summit helped more than 120 organisations explore income diversification strategies. This year, we want to help organisations double down on their existing strategies, as it’s often more cost effective to improve existing efforts than start something new.”
Attendees will be able to tap into practical advice, such as:
- Hearing from an experienced economist and business strategist who has delivered over $110 million in bottom-line improvements;
- Learning how Footprints Community now has a 75% win rate in securing several multi-million dollar contracts, and how they successfully transitioned from ad-hoc submissions to a strategic, high-impact funding model;
- The tactics Children’s Ground employed to achieve a new $9.5 million corporate partnership, such as laying strong foundations by correctly valuing their assets; and
How Tuberous Sclerosis Australia harnessed data driven reporting, storytelling and effective stewardship to strengthen their fundraising program by 50%.
Sector leader Jo Garner, Director and Founder of Strategic Grants, the Presenting Partner – says the Summit is incredibly important.
"In an increasingly challenging funding landscape, the 2025 Benefolk Income Summit's focus on building financial resilience equips charities and social enterprises with the tools they need to navigate economic uncertainty and achieve sustainable growth," she says.
"Strategic Grants' commitment to strengthening the for-purpose sector is exemplified by our partnering with Benefolk on this Summit, which will provide essential strategies for financial resilience and sustainable growth, ultimately driving greater community impact."
The Benefolk Income Summit is ideal for established charities, social enterprises, not-for-profits and community service organisations of all sizes. It will be beneficial for CEOs, Boards, Heads of Business Development or Programs, Grants/Tender Managers, Fundraising Managers and Marketing Managers.
The opening session of the Benefolk Income Summit is free to attend and will feature Benefolk CEO Julia Keady speaking with Jo Garner and Fundraising Institute Australia CEO Katherine Raskob about emerging sector trends. All sessions will be held online.
Early bird tickets are now on sale until 31 March 2025. Attendees can choose individual sessions or buy a Summit Pass. Packages that include access to Benefolk Expert Bar online consultations are also available.
