NFP leaders upskilling in wellbeing governance
Thank you to the great leaders in the room at last week's NonProfit Alliance workshop for sharing your insights and reflections on the opportunities and challenges in improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes in your teams.
We were thrilled to see and hear so many leaders say they will jump into The Social Sector Wellbeing and Resilience Hub and use the 80+ free resources available, including the Organisational Health Check diagnostic tool, and the Workplace Wellbeing Strategy templates.
Sadly, our poll on the day continues to demonstrate the need to help leaders find time and budget, as well as educate boards on the importance of wellbeing governance.
The 42 attendees who engaged with our poll shared the following key insights on the barriers they are facing:
- 61.9% Time - there is simply not enough time to prioritise ourselves
- 42.9% Time - our clients and community often take priority
- 40.5% Budget - we do not have budget to pay for trainings or services ourselves
- 21.4% Wellbeing Governance - our board and management do not prioritise this
